From a moviegoer’s perspective, the 2026 horror year offers cadence and diversity. There is brand gravity where needed, distinct vision where it matters, navigate here and a calendar that shows studios know when and how to deliver scares. The awards and festival pipeline into 2027 will come into focus once the fall festivals lock, and it would not be surprising to see at least one closing-window arthouse pickup join the party. For now, the job is simple, roll out exact trailers, hold the mystery, and let the gasps sell the seats.
